Welcome To Operation OASIS,
Since 2008, Operation OASIS has provided Military City USA with the opportunity to help our nation's brave military warriors who have returned from war injured. Our organization feels it is our duty to support the heroes who are returning from the front lines of Afghanistan, Iraq and other theatres of operation and are being treated at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) on Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Through this volunteer led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, wounded warriors and their immediate family members who arrive upset and distraught, are provided free therapeutic massage and day spa services to enable the healing to begin.
Through this "total family solution", our interventions have significantly reduced stress levels of our wounded military men and women (and their families). Medical studies have indicated many of our military service members have experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Only through patience, a loving environment, and medical care can we heal our warriors completely.
As a retired service member with multiple deployments into combat zones, I understand often times our fallen and injured military service members and their families have needs that can not be met with existing governmental programs. We find that their physical injuries and illnesses are being treated, but their emotional and social needs and desires for small comforts are sometimes overlooked.
Our Mission: Provide Therapeutic & Day Spa Services for the wounded military service members and their families at San Antonio Military Medical Center, other federal and military hospitals, and participating day spas aiding in swift emotional, mental, physical rehabilitation, and recovery.
Operation OASIS is a place of refuge where the wounded and their families can relax, meditate, pray and just have a quiet moment in their lives.
I am very proud of the sacrifice from the real leader and Founder of Operation OASIS, Krystle M. Martinez! Krystle, a San Antonio business owner and community leader felt compelled to serve the wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who risked and sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we enjoy. Krystle has superbly led a team of volunteers to deliver therapeutic services to thousands of military members and their family members at no charge at her business location and at Fort Sam Houston's Fisher House. My hope is you will support this endeavor as our military personnel should be blessed by a caring nation.
May God Bless Our Heroes!
